I apologize for the delayed response. We worked with Laser Abatement Services to decon areas of our decon pit, cask stand, and fuel elevator trench. Most notable success was the dose rate reduction on our cask stand from 298 mR/hr on contact to 1 mR/hr contact.

Framatome is evaluating different methods for tool and equipment decon at our refurb facility.  We are currently looking at Ultrasonic cleaning, Dry ice and High Pressure Spray.  We would like to see what the industry is using and found to be the most effective for deconning tools and equipment.  Thank you in advance for sharing.
