Good morning everyone,
At Salem, I have been tasked with leading the way to implement a Procedure (a Technical & Reference Material T&RM) to formalize our currently informal filter sizing strategies.
We have 6 filter housings between the RCS and the SF system that can utilize the same filters. We currently have a range of sizes from 0.05 micron – 6 micron. Ideally the RCS filter starts the cycle at a 1-2 micron for start-up and is stepped down through the cycle. We are also working on being able to utilized smaller filters in the SFP filtration train.
Currently we are managing filter sizing through our PM process with myself (former engineer, turned ALARA) going in prior to execution to enter the filter size required. We would like to put together a procedure that Maint and ops can reference to determine size and take my step out of the process.
Do any sites currently have something like that? If so would you be able to share to give me an idea of where I’m headed?
Thanks,
Jen Tutterow
