TVA uses the HOLTEC HI-STORM FW system. Our fuel canister is the MPC-37. Terminology is a bit different but it is a vertical cask storage system. Dose rates vary based on the fuel load so the dose accrual will vary as well. Training and crew proficiency also impact the dose accrual.
For our two PWRs, Sequoyah averaged 101.8 mrem and Watts Bar averaged 69.8 mrem during their most recent loading campaigns. These dose totals include all the prep work, the actual stackup and transfer of the fuel canister, de-stack activities, and installation of the overpack lid. The average decay heat at Sequoyah was 31.86 kW and at Watts Bar was 35.47 kW.
We stackup and transfer inside the aux building so these doses do not include transport to the ISFSI. That is typically small unusually 2-5 mrem.

All,
Can anyone supply their dose they receive while performing the tasks associated with the stack up of the and insertion of the TSC into the VCC? We are preparing to start our first dry cak campaign in the fall and are looking for some experiences and OE.
Thanks
