Beaver Valley is benchmarking the use of drones as an ALARA initiative.

Does your station use a drone to

  *   Perform Boric Acid Inspections No (BWR)
  *   Perform Snubber inspections In planning
  *   Radiological surveys, If so can you provide an example  Not at this time – not planned for near future
  *   Do you require training or an FAA license?  Yes, the FAA license is required.

We use drones extensively for emergent steam affected area entries at Browns Ferry for leak inspections and to surmise faulty equipment.
