We used the Elios drone a few years ago to do a leak inspection in the Rx Bldg without a power reduction (substantial saving of $ and dose), as well as parts of the annual LHRA room inspection.
Inspection of a Nuclear Power Plant (flyability.com)<https://www.flyability.com/casestudies/inspection-of-a-nuclear-power-plant>
About 2 years ago we inspected a damaged duct in the dome of our Rx Bldg during an outage. No significant dose savings, but avoided a 50' scaffold.
I would NOT use them in a high contam area adjacent to clean areas (prop wash).
Since that time our group has been decimated and the process has become more formalized (procedures & quals), to the point that no one uses them much anymore, so they sit in the M&TE Tool Room. No FAA license required in SC for indoor use, check your state for applicable laws.

Beaver Valley is benchmarking the use of drones as an ALARA initiative.
Does your station use a drone to
* Perform Boric Acid Inspections
* Perform Snubber inspections
* Radiological surveys, If so can you provide an example
* Do you require training or an FAA license?
