If you have a budget for it you could put out a mini-quiz each week during pre outage and outage consisting of multiple choise answers . Use a electronic and manual key to sort the quixes that are completed correctly and place the perfomers name in a drawing for a prize or mutiple prizes each week. This may help raise awarness for your workers by giving them ancentive to learn the correct answers to the quizes.

At Surry we have a few screens around the plant that scroll through power point slides to communicate the latest issues to the workers. We also have a daily outage newsletter that we go over at shift turnover. If we do a resin transfer or Radiography or anything that is going to impact where folks can/can’t go, we place flyers at the PA turnstiles.

Is anyone utilizing smart televisions or message boards to increase communications during outages? We recently identified a performance gap in radiation worker behaviors and are looking for ways to communicate expectations, reminders, performance trends, etc. during our outages. If you have any examples and type of equipment being used I would appreciate the help.
Thank You,
