[Global] [External] Nano-fiber filtration

Here at BV last summer we went to a NANO-Fiber Filter in Unit 2 after our outage.  So at Unit 2 it has been running for 1 cycle.   At Unit 1 we just installed the NANO-Fiber Filter about 3 months ago after Unit 1 outage.   So far we have not seen any changes as far going out on D/P any sooner.   Will have more info as far as General Area Dose Rates here in about a month when we shut down to perform the Unit 2 outage.  The NANO-Fiber's we are currently running are 1 Micron pore size.

Prior to changing to the NANO-Fiber Filter's we were running 0.1 - 0.45 Micron pore size Pall filters.

Here at Surry we are trying to reduce our overall CRE.  I'm interested in plants that may be using nano-fiber filters in their RCS letdown.

Does your plant use nano-fiber technology in your RCS letdown?

If yes, do your filters DP out more frequently or do you see filters reaching dose rate limits more quickly?

If you changed from micron filtration to nano-fiber, did you seen a reduction in your overall GA dose rates?

If you have evaluated the use of nano-fiber filters and decided not to use them, I'd be interested in why your plant decided against them.

Any additional info would be much appreciated.
