Recently Cook performed an ALARA Self-Assessment which generated several actions. One action is to review the weekly dose deviation criteria to determine if it is within industry standards (i.e. should it be lower to highlight discrepancies?).

What is your PLANT'S dose deviation criteria??? So Cook can determine if theirs is within industry standards...

Cook Weekly Dose deviation standard:

If a department's weekly dose performance is both greater than 25 mrem AND a difference of greater than 25% when compared to their weekly dose budget, THEN:

1. Determine appropriate response with RP ALARA Personnel.

a) An Action may be initiated in accordance with PMP-7030-CAP-001. Action Initiation.

2. When determining if any action is warranted the following criteria should be considered:

a. Dose delta involving human performance.

b. Dose deltas caused by significantly higher than expected dose rates

c. Dose deltas caused by significantly higher than expected person-hours

d. Opportunities are identified to lower exposure for future similar activities

e. As determined by RP Supervision.

Thank you in advance!!!!
