All,

I work at Robinson Nuclear Plant, we are currently in a refueling outage working through a Level 1 Emergent Issue. While performing 10 year ISI UT inspections on the core barrel, an indication has been identified on the core barrel in the area just below the hot leg outlet nozzle. This indication will likely require an EDM (Electric Discharge Machining) method to be used to remove the metal at the tips of the flaw to prevent it from growing further.

I'm interested in obtaining any available information in the industry on this activity or using the EDM tool. Any site that has dealt with a similar issue, please provide me with an RP contact, ALARA plan, RWP, and cavity decon plan after completion.

Thank you all in advance for sending any information you can provide.

Thank you,
Christy M. Branham
