[Global] SQN Informal Benchmarking

We (Sequoyah Nuclear Plant) are performing an informal benchmarking on a few things if you would not mind assisting us with. See the list below.


  1.  We would like to see some pictures of a few different contaminated areas. We are looking at the postings, boundaries and SOPs mainly. Also, how do you have the area around the Spent Fuel Pool marked/controlled/posted?


  1.  We are also wanting to see how you are labeling the ladders in the plant for "Notifying RP prior to entering 7ft in the overhead". Have you applied something to every ladder in the plant? If so, can you send a picture of this? Do you only have a sign at the staging areas? Do you have a sign on the staged latter's that remain in place for AOP and EOP issues or just a sticker?



  1.  Who writes your RWPs? Is it ALARA or Field Ops? What reference use is your RWP writing procedure? Can we get a copy of that?





  1.  What markings do you have around the plant drains? How do you have them secure the hoses? (tie wraps or a specialty device)
