Davis Besse,

We have placed 5 dosimeters (Chest, Upper Right & Left Arm, Right & Left Thigh) that transmitt.
We have not positioned dosimetry on divers head based on radiological surveys, body position and work to be performed.

If we needed to place dosimetry for monitoring a divers head, we would work with diver / dive team to determine placement of dosimetry so as not to impact dive equipment.
Placement of a TLD would be an option, while monitoring the head with a remote under water monitor (Amp-100).

Subject: [External] [Global] Transmitting dosimeters for divers

Hi everyone,

DC Cook is looking for some information regarding nuclear diving dosimetry. How many transmitting dosimeters do you use on the diver? Do you require the diver to have dosimetry on their head? If so, do you put it inside the helmet or somehow attach it to the outside of the helmet?

Thank you in advance!!!!
