At Browns Ferry our online work week scope is locked at T-3 weeks. Any work brought in after schedule lock is considered emergent and requires different levels of approval for the dose. As a Superintendent I can approve up to 300mR and over that requires Plant Manager approval.

At STP, if it is not on the AWS, Authorized Work Schedule it is considered emergent. We do have a planned budget each year and each outage for emergent work.

How do you determine if something meets the criteria to classify as emergent exposure? Here at Surry we generally go with anything that is a sudden broke/fix (work resulting from a CR), or a routine PM that resulted in a significant expanded scope due to component as found condition. Do you have a planned budget for your emergent dose and track it or do you just roll it in with the rest of your expected exposure?
Thanks,
