[Global] Accumulator dumping

Good morning,

Normal practice for us is to do the accumulator blows into the refuel cavity when it is partially flooded up. We've not had airborne activity issues but the OCC RP lead informs the Containment RP team to keep an eye on our local airborne monitors and we trend the online particulate monitors in the OCC. We do not restrict access into Containment.

Good morning,
During our 2R22 outage, operations vented the accumulators to the cavity when it was flooded up. We didn't have any airborne issues, but the dose rates around the cavity were 50% higher than normal.

During the outage, we have had a first time issues with accumulator valve testing (Accumulator dumps into the cavity when it is full of water) resulting in airborne conditions in upper containment.

Does anyone else have this issue?

If so do you restrict access during accumulator dump activities in case of airborne conditions?
