[Global] [EXTERNAL] Monthly Dose Comparison

We are having a bit of an off year. Following our Fall Unit 1 outage we changed over 40 filters on RCP Seal Supply between December and April. The pace has slowed but is still elevated. This impacts OPS, Station Sciences (RP), and FIN.

This weekend we had a forced outage on Unit 3 to locate and repair a leak on Low Pressure Service Water to an RCP motor oil cooler. It was located in a place our robotic platforms couldn't access, so we went to 20% and found it the old fashioned way. 647 mrem to locate, 54 mrem to repair at Mode 3, there went our June estimate. We were able to utilize our Metrology data to plan the repair and to help Engineering conduct an Extent of Condition review, which at least kept a few people out of the building. The repairs (replacements) were made to 2 instrument valves with LokRing fittings, eliminating the need to run welding leads halfway down the D-Ring and weld in 110F ambient. 4 people, < 2 hours.

We still have a workforce that is very conscious of Dose Ownership, and an engaged group of Dose Advocates. OPS has purchased and installed cameras on gauges in our LPI (Decay Heat) pump rooms that have eliminated lots of routine entries. The Mod Welders use VR equipment to "fly" through reactor buildings taking measurements, then spend the Online period pre-fabbing sections of piping and valves for the upcoming outages. All that to say it could have been worse.
