[Global] RP IT specialist

The closest we have at TVA is an individual in IT who owns all the RP related software (VSDS, HIS-20, etc). This assignment was dictated by the IT group due to the time sensitivity of correcting software issues. He’s not an RP guy, but he has a better understanding of our needs than if we relied on general IT support.

We don’t have a specifically dedicated individual within RP like STP does. Instead, we rely on individual talent to drive new efforts.

  At the winter meeting discussions we touched on this subject a time or two.  Whom out there utilizes an IT based person within or strongly connected to the RP department?

    What items do you have or would you have this person address?

     I am evaluating this idea for improvements in “ Maximo\alfresco integration, enhancing VSDS and streamlining our internal records and processes to include the onboarding of sentinel.  This person would approach applications from an RP perspective.

What are your thoughts?
