Randy and Team:
Regarding DCPP, some practices RP ALARA employs includes the following:
* Data Analytics: We leverage Power BI and Tableau for more rapid exposure reporting and evaluation. For our recent ISFSI campaign we started incorporating Lean Visual Management into our reporting and subscribing Senior Leadership into the auto-reports twice daily. The first page of the report is attached as an example.
* Video Monitoring: It common practice to utilize video monitoring in accessible areas in the power block during outage activities.
* Remote Monitoring Stations: Use of remote operating stations keeps a constant eye on work activities and personnel behaviors within the RCA.
* Virtual Tours: Use of 360-imaging and laser scanning is proving invaluable in job planning prior to RCA entry. We've been able to conduct detailed and measurable walkdowns from someone's desktop of LHRAs before a work group enters the area. Users of the software can also click on links to see "current radiological condition" maps.
* Briefings: Expectation is that work groups perform a reverse briefing regarding their work, location, support needed, and expected exposure.
Development Stage:
* We've been in talks with Bruce Power regarding their use of 3D printed shielding. I believe Duke Energy is currently utilizing 3D printed rad shielding. It would serve to reduce exposure and weight tolerances by creating fitted shielding for a wide variety of applications. The problem, however, is time. It takes a while to print out tungsten, but there are ways to reduce the time for printing. DCPP is currently working at printing out its own radiation shielding.
* Laser Scanning: We're nearly complete with imaging the power block. Over the next two outages we'll be working on covering the few areas we have left.
* Exposure Graph Automation: IT created a tableau data source that links with the station schedule. We'll be attempting to further expand on automated exposure reporting that will reduce the time from identifying an anomaly to acting on it.
* Packbot 510: We're currently upgrading our robot to expand on its capabilities.
Conceptual Stage:
* 3D Radiation Surveys<https://www.gammareality.com/>: We've been researching the Gamma Reality LAMP system for use in enhancing radiation surveys by providing 3D data to users. Speaking with Erika Suzuki at gamma reality gives us the idea that the LAMP's data can be easily uploaded for near-immediate viewing by station personnel.
* Spot<https://radecoinc.com/>: I'm still working on use cases during online and outage activities. I can't really act to procure it unless I can show it can be easily and routinely utilized by station personnel. TVA utilizes Spot, as well as, a drone, but we don't have the radiation levels they do that requires somewhat routine access.
* IIS MIDAS Device<https://i-i-s.net/product/aurum-augmented-reality/#1710160870349-6c5abebc-abde>: Their advertised PEDs is something I was really interested in pursuing until I found out DCPP already purchased more DMCs from Mirion. It became a hard sell at that point. The electronic dosimeter is capable of capturing video, 2-way communication, and rad/location monitoring stream-able to a workstation.
That's all I've got for now. I hope this helps.
Respectfully,
Felix Martinez

I need to get creative with some dose reduction ideas. Does anyone have any dose reduction plans they can send me?
