Depending on the impact & likelihood of doing the work, I'll either do a quick estimate and park it in a folder until needed, or put a placeholder in the outage estimate and adjust as needed. If it's minor I just absorb the difference - if it's significant dose I'll do a SAC meeting and recommend changing the outage estimate.

Quick benchmark question, does anyone perform dose projections for contingency work? If so, how do you account for it when the work is not performed or when it is performed?
