We have seen minimal crudburst peaks (in-vessel) over the last few outages, so the Outage Working Group is asking if we would consider skipping it. I would like to try an every other outage approach at first.

Has anyone out there tried skipping crudburst? What were the results?

We're a B&W once-through SG design. We've done zinc injection since 2016, fuel cleaning since 2015, run 0.1 micron Letdown filters, and use a specialty macro-porous overlay resin.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
