We maintain an average of approximately 150 mrem per unit of work performed inside containment. This level of control is achieved through the Plant ALARA Review Committee (PARC) process, which governs approval for any work conducted inside containment while the unit is at power.
As part of this process, the responsible work group must present a justification outlining the necessity of performing the task during power operations.
Following this, Operations conducts a review to determine whether the activity is essential for continued plant operation or if it can be safely deferred until the next outage.
This disciplined approach ensures that radiological exposure is minimized while maintaining operational reliability and safety.
