[Global] RCA Boundaries

Good Morning,
WF3 recently had an individual enter the RCA without being logged onto an RWP and self-reading dosimeter. The  intent of this email is to compare our current process to the industry. While most Entergy RCA Accesses have harder barriers such a turnstiles (including smart turnstiles), we do have some that are radiation rope and signage with a gate. Please provide the following information:


  1.  How many RCA Access/Egress areas are at your station?
  2.  How many are just rope, signs and gates?
  3.  What are the different RCA access barriers used at your station (i.e., smart turnstiles, alarming gates, etc.)?

4/27/22: WF3-2022-3253 - A D&Z pipe fitter entered the RCA through Door 27 without logging onto an RWP and using an EAD. The pipe fitter entered through the swing gate which was
posted RMA,RCA,RWP Required, Dosimetry Required, NEDS, CHP for OVHD access. The individual entered the +21 RAB Hot Tool Room, retrieved a cart,
and proceeded to the Westside Access Control Point at which point it was identified by an RP technician that the individual did not have proper dosimetry.
Individual processed out of the RCA through the personnel monitors.
