[Global] [EXTERNAL] SAC Meeting Minutes

We have the previous minutes approved at the start of the next meeting by a vote of quorum members. The package of supporting documents, including minutes, is normally sent out for review the week prior to a meeting. We've found the record feature on Teams to be very useful - a couple of hours after the meeting you get a voice file and a transcript, which is almost as entertaining as any other Voice To Text app. From that we do a synopsis, usually less than a page for a 50 min meeting.

SQN is doing a benchmark on how the industry handles the Site ALARA Committee meeting minutes and looking for industry best practices. Please answer the questions below.


  1.  Do you send the minutes out to all SAC members/attendees after the meetings?
  2.  Do they have to approve of the minutes and sign and send back?
  3.  Is there a set time frame that you have to send them out to the members/attendees?
  4.  Do you have a procedure to drive your SAC meetings? If so, could you please share?
