[Global] [External] PAPR Usage

At Beaver Valley Maintenance has successfully cut out small pore piping tied to the RCS with a porta-band saw without using respiratory protection. However, we still require face shields. Really comes down to the history. If we have unknown conditions or never worked on the piping/components we will require respiratory protection then depending on survey results we will revise the RWP to allow no respiratory protection.

Good morning,
I would like to know if you require the use of PAPRs for cutting out and welding lines < 1 inch in diameter? I am specifically talking about an RCS sample line. Thanks for your response in advance.
