At Cook we have an IT Architect that is dedicated to supporting all activities related to Sentinel set up and report creation for the RP department. He controls the test region and maintains Sentinel's daily operation. He handles all the software and hardware updates for Sentinel.

He also controls all the software updates for ATOMS Survey and Telemetry programs. He works directly with the ATOMS vendor to set up, test, and implement all ATOMS software programs such as Survey, Air Sample, Percons, Telemetry, Telemetry Pilot, and Scaffolding.  He assisted with the setup of all ATOMS documents to automatically transfer to Documentum for record keeping and retrieval as needed.

Our IT department has several people that assists us with database and network setup and issues.  They help us with setup of network switches for RP Camera and Audio needs.

We have separate people to assist with Maximo training, questions, and updates.

  At the winter meeting discussions we touched on this subject a time or two.  Whom out there utilizes an IT based person within or strongly connected to the RP department?

    What items do you have or would you have this person address?

     I am evaluating this idea for improvements in " Maximo\alfresco integration, enhancing VSDS and streamlining our internal records and processes to include the onboarding of sentinel.  This person would approach applications from an RP perspective.

What are your thoughts?
