North Anna RP did convince Operations to change the performance of a 31 day PT to check position of containment isolation valves to a 180 day frequency. Minimal impact to RP, except when entering the overhead areas. It did save about 50 mrem in online exposure per year.
We also changed survey frequency for routine surveys, stopped surveying LHRAs routinely and survey upon entry when required for access. Daily surveys changed to weekly; weekly changed to monthly; monthly changed to quarterly.
HP hand held instruments' response checks changed from daily to weekly. Also, portal monitors' response checks were changed from daily to weekly

Hope I got your attention!
I have an action to look for ways to improve existing processes and seek ways to standardize tasks for consistency. I was hoping you can take a few moments out of your busy day and share with me anything you might have recently removed or modified from your RP program and send me a list that we as "RP" can eliminate, improve, and standardize tasks for consistency (i.e. reduced survey frequencies). That list can be ideas that have not been implemented yet but are time savers. This takes a TEAM effort to identity the necessary changes and provide RP the tools necessary to implement those changes.
Why bother:
* There are real benefits that can be gained.
* Reduce Human Errors
* Bullet Proof Processes
* Reduce Costs
* Improved Engagement
* Risk Reduction or Elimination
Remember the term Kaizen: A Japanese term meaning change for the better or continuous improvement.
Thanks for being the change.
Olga
